MEMORIAL WEEKEND RECAP

Hey everyone I wanted to take today to let everyone know about another sport out there.. Skateboarding! This is a really fun sport to photograph.. almost every shot you take looks good.. People flying in the air doing tricks.. falling down... hitting their heads.. arms... elbows... er.. unless you have pads.. then it's helmets... arm pads... elbow pads... er... ok. anyway.

This past weekend the family and I celebrated our Anniversary near South Bend Indiana.. and no.. I didn't make it to the Big Notre Dame Game... although our driving time was affected by the traffic. We went to the 2007 Marshall Couny Blueberry Festival! Basketball tournaments.. golf tournaments and of course my boys wanted to check out the Skateboard Tournament. This was really exciting. The good people of plymouth took one of the Tennis courts and turned it into a skate park. This is a good idea Monessen People! Give our local skaters someplace to grind and Ollie and some other skater term only my two boys and Tony Hawk know. The skaters ranged in ages from 10 to 18 or 19... I didn't stand around and ask.. I just had to look and decide for myself.

For the most part all the tricks that were done I've done them myself.... only Higher and Faster and More Intense... ahem.. on the Tony Hawk video game... I've tried to get some air on a board... pshh I tried going down the hill at the Monessen Elementary school parking lot... And after the Ice Pack got warm I decided to stick with video games and leave the skateboarding to the younger group.

Serious Wipeout. But he got right back up and kept going! That says something right there.

Football practice well smoothly. Although I heard we had one injury or two... Fall Baseball game against Rostraver went really well. From what I saw of the game Monessen Won.
NOTE: I am switching over the photography section of the site to a new server so give some time if there are any images you want that were on the old server.. they will be up soon. I only have a limited amount of space so the old images can't stay on forever so if you want any of them grab em before they are gone.
